It was a frustrating Wednesday as 4* LOYOLA came through, but 3* George Mason and 2* Missouri came up short, leaving us PLUS only 1 Unit. Loyola won their 8th straight at Home and looks to be in solid form heading into the A10 conference tournament. Unfortunately Missouri ran into a suddenly resurgent Sooner squad and was never in the hunt. Similarly, George Mason decided to sleepwalk through the 1st half before coming up short of the -12.5 post in a 69-62 Home win over pedestrian LaSalle. We did Sweep our 1* Releases as Xavier stayed hot with a road win over Butler and C Conn St/LeMoyne soared OVER the total. While adding a Single Unit is nothing to write home about, it does bring our record over the last 10 days to a pretty amazing 31-10 for PLUS 55 UNITS! One of these days the Gambling Gods are going to take their Revenge, but for now let’s enjoy the ride and try to keep it going on Thursday.
4* ELITE: Loyola, Chicago -5.5 (82-72) WIN
3* VERY STRONG – George Mason -12.5 (69-62) LOSS
2* STRONG – Missouri -4.5 (84-96) LOSS
1* SOLID – Xavier -120 (91-78) WIN
1* SOLID – C Connecticut St/LeMoyne OVER 143.5 (86-67) WIN
3-5-25: WRITEUP: 4* ELITE – LOYOLA, Chicago -5.5: Tonight the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers (10-6) host the Davidson Wildcats (6-10) in an A10 matchup featuring 2 teams heading in opposite directions. This is our BEST BET on the Wednesday card. The Ramblers are 5-1 straight up and ATS in their last 6 and have a stellar 15-1 HOME record overall, having won 7 straight. Davidson is 4-6 overall on the road, and just 1-4 straight up and ATS in the last 5, with their lone win over hapless cellar dweller Fordham. These teams met 2 weeks ago, with the Ramblers picking up a road win 77-69, and we see no reason why they cannot extend that margin on their home floor. Look for Loyola to begin gearing up for the conference tournament tonight with an impressive Home performance over the fading Wildcats.
