3-9-25 SCP Winning Streak Ends With 3-5 Saturday (-4 UNITS)

Well it had to happen. After 12 STRAIGHT days without a Losing Session the Gambling Gods said “Enough is Enough” and bit back on Saturday sending SCP to a 3-5 losing day while giving back -4 Units. Our 4* Elite Release on Hampton came shining through, but not much else went our way, as several of the losses were embarrassingly bad calls. Our 3* Very Strong plays went 1-3 with the only winner coming as Okie St held serve versus Cincinnati. #1 Auburn ran into a fired up Bama squad and lost their 2nd straight, and only their 2nd at Home all season. NC scored a paltry 27 points in the 2nd half at HOME against Duke in a game that looked well OVER at the half and the Maryland/Northwestern contest never had a chance to hit the Over. Our 2* Strong selections went 1-2 with the only winner being Kansas getting a much needed win over Arizona. Both Missouri and Georgia Tech decided to take the day off, with the Tigers losing their 3rd straight, and 4 of 5, as they limp into the SEC tournament. After Saturday’s dismal effort, SCP has a still respectable rolling 13 day record of 37-15 for PLUS 61 UNITS. We will look to shake off the lousy performance and get back on track on Sunday.

4* ELITE – Hampton +1 (70-65) WIN

3* VERY STRONG – Oklahoma St +2.5 (78-67) WIN

3* VERY STRONG – Auburn -7.5 (91-93 OT) LOSS

3* VERY STRONG – Duke/NC OVER 156.5 (82-69) LOSS

3* VERY Maryland/Northwestern OVER 140.5 (74-61) LOSS

2* VERY STRONG – Missouri -5.5 (83-91) LOSS

2* STRONG – Kansas -3 (83-76) WIN

2* STRONG – Georgia Tech +6.5 (43-69) LOSS

WRITEUP: 3-8-25: 4* ELITE –  Hampton +1:  Today we have a CAA Tournament matchup featuring the Hampton Pirates (8-10) taking on the Northeastern Huskies (9-9) in a game where the wrong team is favored. This is our BEST BET on the Saturday card. Hampton has been as HOT as anybody in the conference down the stretch going 7-0 ATS in their last 8 by an average of 13 ppg; including a home win over 2nd place Wilmington (14-4) and a near miss on the ROAD versus Top Seed Towson St (16-2). They are 7-3 overall in their last 10 conference games. They have already beaten the Huskies once this year 83-70 with that victory coming on the road. Northeastern is just 5-5 ATS in their last 10 and a mere 8-10 ATS on the season overall when playing on the road or at a neutral site. The Pirates enter the tournament playing their best basketball of the season and the middling Huskies will be no match today!
