3-12-25 SCP 3-2 Tuesday Behind 4* ELITE Winner GONZAGA/St MARY’S UNDER! (PLUS 4 UNITS)

We picked up 4 Units on Tuesday, going 3-2, but it easily should have been 4-1 for Plus 8 Units. NC Wilmington and Delaware decided to sleep walk through the 1st half scoring a measly 64 points. They woke up in the 2nd half scoring 84 but came up one bucket short of our OVER 149.5 for a 2* STRONG loser. We went 2-1 on the other three 2* STRONG releases, winning outright with Notre Dame as a +10.5 dog and with UTEP rolling over Sam Houston, while losing with Florida St coming up short versus Syracuse. Thankfully our 4* ELITE release on Gonzaga/ St Mary’s UNDER 140 was an absolute “Rocking Chair” as the teams engaged in their usual Rock Fight with the Bulldogs coming out on top 58-51. Mark Few’s Gonzaga bunch cannot be discounted once March arrives. Adding 4 Units on Tuesday brings our rolling 16 day record to 43-19 for PLUS 70 Units. It has been a FUN and PROFITABLE run as we look forward to the major conference tournaments.

4* ELITE – Gonzaga/St Mary’s UNDER 140 (58-51) WIN

2* STRONG –  UTEP -1 (79-65) WIN

2* STRONG – Notre Dame +10.5 (55-54) WIN

2* STRONG – Florida St -2.5 (62-66) LOSS

2* STRONG – NC Wilmington OVER 149.5 (76-72) LOSS

WRITEUP: 3-11-25: 4* ELITE – Gonzaga/ St Mary’s UNDER 140 – Tonight we have the 3rd meeting between bitter rivals with the Gonzaga Bulldogs (14-4) facing off against the St Mary’s Gaels (17-1) in the WCC Championship, with the winner advancing to the Big Dance. The Gaels swept the season series behind their 5th ranked DEFENSE holding the prolific Bulldog attack to a pedestrian 7 of 31 from deep. Randy Bennett’s strategy is always the same when he faces Mark Few’s bunch. The Gaels swarm the perimeter, and get back on defense, thus eliminating Gonzaga’s primary weapons….hitting 3’s and scoring in transition. This strategy invariably turns these battles into “half court rock fights”; where 5 of the last 6 meetings have ended with 129 total points or less. Between St Mary’s excellent defense, and the fact that they use nearly the entire shot clock when on offense, it’s no wonder these contests turn ugly and consistently stay Under the total. This is the BEST BET on the Tuesday card as we play Gonzaga/St Mary’s UNDER 140 as a 4* ELITE Release.
