In our lone Tuesday Release we ended up “kissing our sister” when our Alabama St/St Francis UNDER 138 play saw 12 points scored in the last 1:48 to land right on the number. Usually when that happens it’s due to an end of game foulathon, but here it was mainly due to a ridiculous made 3 with 40 seconds left when an obvious push off wasn’t called. I’m sure it was a harbinger of things to come with the Big Dance starting in earnest tomorrow. When was the last time the ZEBRAS did us, or you, any favors? But such is life and we move on. Adding Zero Units on Tuesday keeps our rolling 23 day record at 59-33 for PLUS 81 UNITS. Just one more day until March Madness officially begins in earnest and we are working tirelessly to ensure it is a PROFITABLE one for our Subscribers.
1* SOLID – Alabama St/St Francis UNDER 138 (70-68) PUSH
WRITEUP: 3-18-25: 1* SOLID – Alabama St/St Francis UNDER 138 – Tonight we have a Play-In game in Dayton, Ohio featuring the Alabama St Hornets matching up against the St Francis Red Flash in a battle of limited Offenses versus solid Defenses. The Red Flash rank a dismal 227th nationally on Offense with the Hornets a little better at 146th. Alabama St won the SWAC Championship 60-56 over Jackson St despite hitting just 5 of 26 from 3 and shooting just 31% from the field. In their last two SWAC tournament games they held Jackson St and Grambling to just 59 ppg. St Francis took the Northeast Conference title by slowing a very good (#1 Seed) Central Connecticut squad to crawl in a 46-43 victory. In addition to two good Defenses, our Under play is aided by the fact that Mid-Major squads in Play-In games have historically started tight and have leaned heavily toward the Under. This line dropped from 141.5 down to 137.5, and settled at 138, so we are not the only ones who see this as a lower scoring affair. The line move has dropped this play to the 1* level but we still feel it stays UNDER.
