We had a single 3* Very Strong selection on Tuesday in the NIT and it was one of the Most Frustrating Losses we have had in a while…..so a rant must be forthcoming, right? Oklahoma St lost 61-59 to North Texas on Tuesday but that doesn’t tell the story. The Cowboys shot 56% from the free throw line (9-16), but that can happen. They shot 42% from the field (23-55), but that can also happen. What cannot happen is MISSING A DOZEN SHOTS WITHIN 2 FEET OF THE RIM! And at least 4 of those would have been AND 1’s. If they even hit half of those they win easy by double digits. This is a classic example of being on the RIGHT SIDE of a HANDICAP, but the wrong side of the WIN/LOSS ledger. Sickening. For the last month we have been on a nice 60% run, and have had our share of lucky bounces and calls go our way, but even after 47 years in this business I still HATE getting beat like that. And we move on. Dropping 3 Units brings our rolling 30 day record to 67-45 for PLUS 75 UNITS.
