Mackenzie Gore is a budding superstar for the Nationals and should have no issue in mowing down a middling Marlins lineup this afternoon. Gore has cleared this line in two of his three starts thus far as is coming off a strong effort versus the powerhouse Dodgers where he fanned 7 in 6 innings. On the season he has 25 strikeouts in 17 innings primarily due to locating his plus fastball and sitting people down with a nasty curve/slider combination. He now gets a Marlins squad that has the second highest called plus swinging strike rate, and the eleventh highest strikeout rate.
