Ther Dodgers rebounded nicely from their Home series Loss to the Cubs, hanging on for a 5-3 Win despite things getting a little hairy in the 9th. Ohtani and Betts homered to lead an offense that has struggled lately. Starter Dustin May was sharp, going 6 innings and allowing 1 run on 6 hits with 7 strikeouts. The Dodgers offense will need to carry the day in the near future, as their injury riddled pitching staff is average at best. We have done well picking our spots in early season MLB action as we gather more and more data points each day. Adding 3 Units brings our rolling 49 day record to 83-61 for PLUS 82.4 UNITS.
3* VERY STRONG – (MLB) DODGERS -1.5 (-155) – (5-3) WIN
3* VERY STRONG – (MLB) DODGERS – 1.5 (-155): LA (11-6) stays home to welcome the struggling Colorado Rockies (3-12) for a 3 game set fresh off dropping 2 of 3 to the Cubs where they scored a total of 5 runs the entire series. This team has too many good hitters to stay down for long and facing Antonio Senzatela should be just the elixir they need. Senzatela has pitched 14 innings thus far and has given up 8 earned runs on 27 hits while striking out just 6 (2.15 WHIP). If the Brewers can pound him, one would expect an angry Dodger bunch to have a field day. On the other side, the Dodgers send Justin May to the bump. He missed all of last season but has started to find his footing in 2025 sporting a .82 ERA and a .91 WHIP. Last out May averaged 95 mph on his fastball but did struggle to miss bats, generating just two whiffs. This sets up as a classic “Get Right” spot for the Dodgers as they pull away for a multiple run victory.
