The Athletics made easy work of Sean Burke, pounding him for 5 runs in 3.1 innings, as the White Sox suffer yet another defeat 12-3 in what looks to be another lost season. One would have to look long and hard to find a worse OWNER than Jerry Reinsdorf in the entire history of the “Grand Old Game”. The Southsiders deserve so much better. After having the worst record in modern baseball history last season, finishing 41-121, his response was to demand a NEW BALL PARK under threat of moving the team out of Chicago. Unbelievable! But business is business so we will look to fade this glorified AAA squad at every opportunity as the season progresses. Adding 2 Units brings our rolling 50 day record to 84-61 for PLUS 84.4 UNITS.

The White Sox are absolutely putrid versus lefties hitting just .194 and smashing just 1 home run in 121 at bats. Chicago sends Sean Burke to the hill and he has given up 9 runs, 10 hits and 4 walks over 7.1 innings in his last 2 starts. Look for Springs to shut down the White Sox while the Athletics offense, particularly the middle of the order, tees off on the erratic Burke.
