A huge Sunday was 1 out away when Padres closer Suarez gave up a 2 out single in the top of the 9th inning to add an insurance run making the score 4-2 in favor of Tampa Bay. Suarez had pitched 9 innings this season and had given up ZERO RUNS….unbelievable. The Padres sorely miss Arraez and Chroneworth from their lineup and, until at least one of them returns, we may need to stay off the Padres. So we lost a 1* SOLID and a 2* STRONG release on San Diego. Our 4 other plays SWEPT the BOARD. In our only NBA play, our 2* STRONG selection on the underdog PACERS won straight up in a “rocking chair” game as they led the whole way over the Bucks to take a 3-1 series lead. In MLB or 2* STRONG and 1* SOLID plays on the Detroit Tigers came in easy 7-0 behind another excellent outing by Skubal (6 innings, 0 runs), and the 1* SOLID Reds smashed the hapless Rockies 8-1 behind a super effort from Lodolo (7 innings, 0 runs). We ended the day on the PLUS side but it should have been so much better. Adding 1.13 Units brings our rolling 62 day record to 99-68 for plus 96.77 Units.
