Our 2* STRONG Mets made quick work of Nationals starter Trevor Williams on Monday, stinging him for 5 runs through the first 5 innings in an eventual 19-5 drubbing. Don’t we wish they were all that easy? The Mets Griffin Canning continued to make the Met’s brass look smart for bringing him in as he shut out Washington over 5 innings allowing just 4 hits with 5 strikeouts. The win allowed the Mets (20-9) to increase their lead to 4.5 games in the NL East over the idle Phillies in a race that will likely come down to the last week of the season. We were not as fortunate with our 1* Solid release on the Reds/Cardinals OVER as both pitchers surprisingly held up in the little Great American Ballpark with Cincinnati winning 3-1. Don’t look now but the Reds have reeled off 5 straight wins and sit just 1 game back of the Cubs in the NL Central. SCP Released a FUTURES play on CINCINNATI to WIN NL CENTRAL back in March at 7-1 so GO REDS! This is another division that could be tight the entire season as the Cubs, Reds and Brewers have similar talent levels. If Hunter Greene and Nick Lodolo stay healthy the Reds should be right there. Adding 1 Unit brings our rolling 63 day record to 100-69 for PLUS 97.77 UNITS.
2* STRONG – (MLB) Mets -176 (19-5) WIN
1* SOLID – Reds/Cardinals OVER 9.5 (3-1) LOSS
