It was an all MLB Monday as we could not find value in either NBA contest. Our top play on the DODGERS was a 3* Winner as they rolled 7-4 over the Marlins behind Home Runs by Ohtani and Freeman. LA built a 5-0 lead after 5 innings and coasted home. Our 1* SOLID play on the Mets also came home as they nipped the Diamondbacks 5-4. This one looked like a “rocking chair” as the Mets built a 5-1 lead through 7 innings but, as often happens when teams have a big lead and bring in lower end relief pitchers, no lead is big enough. Dedniel Nunez tried his best to give the game away in the 8th, with 3 walks leading to 3 earned runs, but thankfully NY was able to hold on for the Win. Our 1* SOLID play on Houston came up short as the Astros fell to the Brewers 5-1. So far this season the Astros are essentially a .500 ball club as management decisions to let Alex Bregman leave in free agency, and to trade Kyle Tucker, are looking worse by the day. The heart of Houston’s lineup is definitely less intimidating than it has been the last few seasons. Adding 3 Units brings our rolling 70 day record to 110–79 for Plus 94.93 Units.
