We went 2-1 on Tuesday as our 2* Dodgers selection foiled the Sweep by losing 5-4 to the Marlins in extra innings as Cal Quantril was very sharp, allowing just a single run through 5 innings. We will not lament this one too much as LA has been very good to us this season, and likely will continue to be, with a lineup that can hurt you 1 through 9. Once their starting pitching gets sorted out, the Dodgers will be in prime position for another World series run. Our 2* Phillies play was a “rocking chair” as Zack Wheeler did what Zack Wheeler does by allowing just 2 runs over 7 excellent innings. If only they were all that easy. Our final 2* selection was a romp as the Rangers rode the tails of Nathan Eovaldi’s stellar performance where he allowed 1 run over 6 strong innings. Eovaldi continues to be one of the most underrated starters in all of Major League Baseball. Adding 1.1 Units brings our rolling 71 day record to 112-80 for Plus 96.03 Units.
