NOTE: There were 2 errors in the email release. Texas was +114, not -134; and it should have been Baltimore/Minnesota OVER, not Boston/Minnesota OVER.
Back in the 1970’s a famous Las Vegas Sports Bettor was asked about betting Baseball. His reply was, “if you want to bet Baseball be sure to have a bottle of Bourbon and a revolver nearby”. Well that’s how we feel today. Our 2* release on Cincinnati/Atlanta 1st 5 UNDER 4.5 was going along fine for 3 innings with Reds ace Hunter Greene mowing down Braves like they were a knothole team (3 innings, 2 hits, 6 K’s, no runs). While warming up for the 4th inning he tweaks his groin and leaves the game. Of course the scrub who follows ends up giving up a solo shot in the bottom of the 5th to blow the cover. Our 1* selection on Toronto over the Angels led 4-2 into the bottom of the 9th. The closer Jeff Hoffman quickly gives up 3 runs to blow the cover. Our 2* play on Texas goes up 2-0 and the garbage relievers go on to spit it up in a 6-4 loser. We deserved to lose our 1* OVER release on Baltimore/Minnesota by thinking the Orioles could ever score more than 2 runs. Shame on us. These days will happen in Baseball betting so we take a swig of Bourbon, put the revolver back in the drawer and move on to Thursday. Dropping 6.92 Units brings our rolling 72 day record to 112-84 for Plus 89.11 Units.
