We went 2-0 in MLB on Thursday but had to do the hard way as each of our selections had to dig their way out of an early hole. Our 3* Toronto Blue Jays went down 4-0 after 2 innings but stormed back for an 8-5 victory. After squandering the Ohtani-Trout years by surrounding the two generational stars with no pitching, this current edition of the Angels is even worse. The roster construction is terrible as every night it’s “Home Run for or Bust”. With Trout still out injured the Thursday lineup consisted of exactly 3 players hitting .256 or better. Unless something drastically changes, we will be looking to consistently fade these Angels at every opportunity. Our 2* Phillies scored 3 runs in the 8th and another in the 9th to force extra innings and then plated 2 more in the 10th to hold on for a 7-6 win. Unlike the Angels squad mentioned above, this Philly lineup is STACKED and DEEP. This team is truly never out of a game and the battle between them and the very talented METS for the NL East title will likely come down to the very end. Adding 5 Units brings our rolling 73 day record to 114-84 for PLUS 94.11 UNITS.
