But it wasn’t to be as OKC left Aaron Gordon open for a 3 to tie, and then laid down in OT, gifting the Nuggets with a 2-1 Series edge. OKC star, and league MVP, Gilgeous-Alexander had a rare off night going 7-22 from the field and 1-6 from deep and now the league’s best team finds themselves in a dogfight versus the proud and scrappy Nuggets. The Thunder loss foiled our 3* VERY STRONG Cleveland/OKC parlay after the Cavs had easily dispatched the Knicks 126-104. Our 2* STRONG selection on the Phillies also went down (0-6) as Aaron Nola’s struggles continued. He allowed 4 runs in 5 innings and was outpitched by Cleveland’s Gavin Williams (5 innings, 0 runs). From there we won our last 3 starting with a 2* STRONG release on the Yankees/Athletics OVER as the Bombers crushed the A’s 10-2. Our 2* STRONG play on the Padres was an easy Winner as they built a 12-2 lead over the hapless Rockies and held on for a 13-9 victory. Finally, our 1* SOLID selection on St LOUIS was a “rocking chair” as the Cards blew out Washington 10-0 behind a Complete Game Shutout from Erick Fedde. Adding 0 Units brings our rolling 74 day record to 117-86 for Plus 94.11 Units.
