We lost our NBA parlay as OKC destroyed Denver 125-93 in the deciding Game 7 but unfortunately, due to the blowout nature of the contest, Jokic only played 37 minutes which resulted in him grabbing just 9 rebounds. In the previous 4 games he had averaged 43 minutes and 14.5 boards. We have no doubt had the game been more competitive, and had Jokic played his normal minutes, he would have easily grabbed 4 more rebounds in an additional 6 minutes to bring the parlay home. After playing a full 7 game series against the Clippers, and another one here versus OKC with essentially a 6 man rotation for most games, the Nuggets finally succumbed to complete fatigue as their legs were gone in this battle. Regardless of the ultimate outcome, it was a valiant effort as most, including the oddsmakers, expected the Thunder to dominate the weary Nuggets. Gilgeous-Alexander will be awarded the MVP Trophy but Jokic proved once again that he is the best player on the planet. The upcoming battle between the Thunder and the Timberwolves should be interesting as the Wolves are big, deep and talented and the Thunder were somewhat exposed by Denver. There is a reasonable chance we see yet another 7 game series in the West. Dropping 3 Units brings our rolling 83 day record to 126-97 for Plus 89.52 Units.
