Our 3* VERY STRONG Parlay went down as the Cardinals won the first leg 4-3 but the Yankees let us down by inexplicably dropping a 3-2 decision to the lowly Rockies. Somehow one of the strongest lineups in MLB could not solve Tanner Gordon who entered the contest with a 5.68 ERA and was making just his 2nd start (and appearance) of the season. Gordon allowed just 2 runs over 6 innings and three relievers shut out NY the rest of the way. This is one of those MLB games that is just a total head scratcher. Our 2* STRONG play on Detroit was another battle where a very strong offense was shut down by a pitcher making just his 2nd start in a 3-1 Cleveland win. Slade Cecconi held the powerful Tigers to just 5 hits and 1 run over 6 innings. Our 1* SOLID release on the Cubs Matthew Boyd lost when he managed just 4 K’s in 4 innings versus the normally strikeout prone Reds. Dropping 7.92 Units brings our rolling 88 day record to 127-112 for Plus 63.99 Units.
