The LA Clippers slipped by the Denver Nuggets Monday night 105-102 to even the series at 1-1 and bring our 4* ELITE selection on the CLIPPERS -115 to the Winners Circle!. It was a vintage effort by Kawhi Leonard as he scored 39 points on 15-19 shooting and seemingly willed his team to victory. It was a stark reminder to all of the effect a healthy Playoff Leonard can have on a series. Alongside Harden, Zubac and key role players, this team will be a tough out going forward. The Nuggets now have two days to make some adjustments as they head on the road for Game 3. Adding 4 Units brings our 56 day rolling record to 89-64 for Plus 87.06 Units.
4* ELITE – (NBA) Clippers ML -115 (105-102) Win
4* ELITE – (NBA) Clippers ML -115: Tonight the Denver Nuggets host the LA Clippers in Game 2 of their series with Denver holding a 1-0 advantage. We backed the Clippers +2.5 in Game 1 as a 3* Winner and will come right back here with a 4* ELITE Release on LA to even the series. The Clippers gave Game 1 away by committing 20 turnovers and surrendering 5 OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS in the final 2 minutes. Tonight they will come out extremely focused on protecting the ball on Offense, and tightening up on DEFENSE, and will use their depth and balance to secure the victory. The Nuggets sold out on Saturday with 4 starters racking up 45+ minutes, while essentially using a two man bench, and this will catch up to them in the 2nd half. No Clipper played 45 minutes. It’s also unlikely that Russell Westbrook will play like his old MVP self two games in a row. The Clippers had the NBA’s No. 3 rated DEFENSE over the final 15 games and we look for them to get back to that tenaciousness in this spot. Denver LOST 3 of 4 playoff games at HOME last year and are now 3-14 ATS versus true playoff teams at HOME this season. They are also 2-13 ATS over their last 15 games at Home overall. Denver was AWFUL on DEFENSE down the stretch and we do not see them stepping up on the stop end against an angry Clipper bunch tonight.
